In reality, there are two museums in the Lefkes village. One is a cross-section of tradition and simple living and is managed by the Cultural Association of Iria. It features objects of everyday life, tolls, textiles, embroideries, and the like. The dedicated Nikos Panteleos gathered these items and donated them to the former community of Lefkes in hopes of sharing to the world Lefkes's cultural identity in antiquity. Many other donations soon followed, and it eventually became the first folklore museum in Paros.
The second museum, in contrast to the first, is housed in the Lefkes Village Hotel and is privately owned and run. It is a historical museum that features a veritable library of the artifacts and heritage of the local civilization of the Aegean Sea, its exhibits coming from all over the Cycladic Islands. By visiting either or both of these museums, you'll be able to acquire a better understanding of the ways and eccentricities of the Cycladic way of life.
